STEP 1

Consultation

We analyze your situation: U.S. citizenship of your fiancé(e), relationship history, and previous marriages. We explain the full process — the K-1 visa is significantly more complex than a tourist visa and requires a clear understanding of every step.

STEP 2

Filing the I-129F petition

The first step is for the U.S. citizen to file Form I-129F with USCIS. This takes place in the United States — we advise on proper petition preparation and supporting documents. Processing time is usually 6–12 months. After approval USCIS transfers the case to the NVC and then to the U.S. embassy.

STEP 3

Completing the DS-160 form

We complete the DS-160 application on the official U.S. embassy website. Every field is double-checked — special attention is paid to previous marriages and relationship history.

STEP 4

Paying the consular fee

The $265 consular fee is paid online and is non-refundable in case of refusal. We help complete the payment correctly through the official system.

STEP 5

Medical examination

A medical examination by an authorized doctor is mandatory for the K-1 visa. We help you schedule an appointment with the correct specialist in Poland.

STEP 6

Interview appointment

We schedule your interview at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw or the Consulate in Krakow. The K-1 visa always requires a personal interview.

STEP 7

Interview preparation

We conduct two preparation sessions using our unique method. During the K-1 interview the consular officer carefully checks whether the relationship is genuine — we prepare clear and convincing answers to every possible question.

STEP 8

Visa issuance and entry to the USA

After approval the passport with the visa is delivered by courier within 5–10 business days. After entering the USA you must marry within 90 days.

RESULTS WE ARE PROUD OF

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

01

What is a K-1 visa and what is it for?

The K-1 visa is a special immigration visa for the fiancé or fiancée of a U.S. citizen. It allows entry into the United States for marriage. After the wedding you can apply for a Green Card and stay in the U.S. permanently.
02

Who can get a K-1 visa?

A person planning to marry a U.S. citizen, who has personally met their partner within the last 2 years, is not married at the time of application, and intends to marry within 90 days after entering the United States.
03

Is a personal meeting required before applying for a K-1 visa?

Yes. U.S. law requires the couple to have met in person within the last 2 years before filing the petition. Virtual communication does not count as a personal meeting.
04

What is the I-129F petition and who files it?

The I-129F petition is an official document filed by the U.S. citizen with USCIS as the first step for their partner to obtain a K-1 visa. Without an approved petition it is impossible to apply for the visa.
05

How long does the I-129F petition take to process?

Usually between 6 and 12 months depending on USCIS workload. This is the longest stage of the entire process. After approval the case is transferred to the embassy.
06

Can you enter the U.S. on a tourist visa and get married there?

Formally this violates the conditions of a tourist visa — entering with the intention to marry and remain in the United States. This may lead to deportation and a future entry ban. The correct option is a K-1 visa.
07

Is it mandatory to get married within 90 days?

Yes. The 90-day period is a strict legal requirement. If the marriage is not concluded within this time the visa becomes invalid and you must leave the United States.
08

What happens after marriage on a K-1 visa?

After the wedding you apply for adjustment of status and a Green Card. We also advise on this process — it requires additional documents and another interview.
09

How much does a K-1 visa cost?

The USCIS I-129F petition filing fee is $535. The embassy consular fee is $265. In addition there is the medical examination and our services starting from 600 EUR.
10

Is a medical examination required for a K-1 visa?

Yes. A medical examination by an authorized physician is mandatory. We help schedule the appointment with the correct specialist in Poland.
11

Can children come with a K-1 visa applicant?

Yes. The applicant’s children may enter the United States with a K-2 visa. It is processed together with the K-1 visa and does not require a separate petition.
12

What proof of relationship is needed for a K-1 visa?

Chat history, photos together, tickets and visas confirming personal meetings, financial transfers between partners, and reference letters from people who know the couple.
13

What if one of the partners was previously married?

You must provide a divorce certificate or death certificate of the previous spouse with an English translation. Previous marriages are not a barrier to obtaining a K-1 visa.
14

Is an interview mandatory for a K-1 visa?

Yes. The K-1 visa always requires a personal interview at the embassy. The consul carefully checks the authenticity of the relationship and the seriousness of your intentions.
15

What are the main reasons for a K-1 visa refusal?

Insufficient proof of a genuine relationship, no evidence of a personal meeting within the last 2 years, financial instability of the U.S. fiancé(e), or inconsistencies between documents and interview answers.
16

What should you do if you already received a K-1 visa refusal?

We determine the reason for the refusal and build a new strategy. We specialize in repeat applications — a free reapplication is included in the cost of our services.
17

Does having a residence card in Poland improve the chances?

Yes. Legal status in Poland confirms that you are law-abiding, which strengthens your application.
18

Can the consul doubt the authenticity of the relationship?

Yes — this is one of the main risks for a K-1 visa. That is why it is so important to properly collect relationship evidence and prepare carefully for the interview.
19

How long does the entire process take from petition filing to entry into the USA?

On average between 12 and 18 months including USCIS petition processing, transfer of the case to the embassy, and visa issuance. That is why it is important to start the process as early as possible.
20

Can you apply for a K-1 visa while staying in Poland?

The I-129F petition is filed by the U.S. citizen while staying in the United States. The applicant (fiancé or fiancée) applies for the visa at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw or the Consulate in Krakow while staying in Poland.
