STEP 1

Consultation

We analyze your family situation: who the child is traveling with and the family’s legal status in Poland. We build the right strategy and honestly assess the chances before any payment.

STEP 2

Preparation of permissions and consents

We help properly prepare notarized consent from the second parent if the child is traveling without them. We also translate the birth certificate into English. Without these documents the embassy will not accept the application.

STEP 3

Completing the DS-160 form

We complete the DS-160 application for the child on the official U.S. embassy website. All information is entered accurately and without mistakes. After completion you receive confirmation with a barcode.

STEP 4

Paying the consular fee

The $185 MRV fee must be paid for each applicant including children. It is non-refundable even in case of refusal. We help complete the payment correctly through the official system.

STEP 5

Scheduling the interview

We schedule the whole family for an interview at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw or the Consulate in Kraków at a convenient time.

STEP 6

Preparing the full document package

We prepare the full package: forms, translated birth certificate, parental consents, financial documents, and everything else required for your specific situation.

STEP 7

Interview preparation

We conduct two interview preparation sessions for parents. The consul may ask questions about the child — we prepare clear and convincing answers.

STEP 8

Receiving the decision

The decision is announced immediately after the interview. If approved, the passport with the visa is delivered by courier within 3–5 business days.

RESULTS WE ARE PROUD OF

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

01

What documents does a child need for a U.S. visa?

A child’s passport, birth certificate with English translation, DS-160 form, 5×5 cm photo, proof of consular fee payment, and parents’ documents.
02

Does a child need a separate DS-160 form?

Yes. A separate DS-160 application must be completed for each child regardless of age.
03

Does the child need to attend the interview?

In most cases children under 14 are not required to attend the interview. However the embassy may request the child’s personal appearance in certain cases.
04

Is consent from the second parent required?

Yes, if the child is traveling with only one parent or without parents. The consent must be notarized.
05

What if one parent is absent?

You will need a death certificate, court decision granting sole custody, or another document confirming one parent’s right to make decisions.
06

Does the birth certificate need to be translated?

Yes. The child’s birth certificate must be translated into English.
07

Can the whole family apply together?

Yes. This is the most common option — the whole family attends one interview together.
08

How much does a child’s visa cost?

The consular fee is $185 for each applicant including children. Our services for children under 14 are free if one parent is applying at the same time.
09

How long is a child’s visa issued for?

A visa may be issued for 1 to 10 years depending on the consul’s decision.
10

Can a child get a visa if the parents do not have one?

Yes, but the decision is made individually. A much stronger case is when the parents also have valid U.S. visas.
11

Do I need to book flights and hotels?

No, it is not mandatory. However having a clear travel plan may strengthen the application.
12

What questions are asked about the child during the interview?

The purpose of the trip, who the child is traveling with, who is paying for the trip, where the child studies, and whether the family plans to return home.
13

Does the child need a separate photo?

Yes. Each child must have an individual photo that meets U.S. embassy standards.
14

Can a child get a visa without being present in person?

In many cases — yes, especially for children under 14. However the final decision is made by the embassy.
15

What if the parents are divorced?

You will need documents confirming the child’s right to travel and consent from the second parent if required.
16

Do parents’ visas affect the child’s application?

Yes. Valid visas and a good travel history of the parents positively affect the decision.
17

How long does the child visa process take?

Document preparation takes from 5 to 10 days. After approval the passport is delivered by courier within 3–5 business days.
18

Can a child study in the U.S. on a tourist visa?

Short-term courses and camps are possible. For full-time study at a school or university a student visa is required.
19

What are the main reasons for refusal of a child visa?

Errors in documents, missing consent from the second parent, weak family ties to the home country, or inconsistencies in the information provided.
20

What should I do if there was already a refusal?

We analyze the reason for refusal, fix the weak points, and reapply. Reapplication is included in the cost of our services.
