RESULTS WE ARE PROUD OF

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

01

Is an invitation mandatory for a US guest visa?

Formally — no, but there are cases when it is better to state tourism as the purpose of the trip.
02

What should be in the invitation letter?

The full name and status of the inviter, their address in the US, purpose and dates of the visit, your place of residence in the US, confirmation that the host party covers the expenses (optional).
03

Does the status of the host party in the US affect the visa decision?

Yes. If the inviter is a US citizen or permanent resident, it's a positive signal. If they don't have legal status — it's better not to mention them as a host.
04

Does the invitation need to be notarized?

No, notarization is not required. A scanned version is sufficient.
05

Can I be refused a guest visa if I have already received a visa before?

Each application is considered individually. A previous visa is a plus, but not a guarantee. The consul assesses the current situation: finances, job, family, intention to return.
06

What if I already had a US visa refusal?

A refusal doesn't close the path forever. You need to understand the reason and fix it — strengthen financial documents, add proof of ties to your home country, change the application strategy. We specialize in re-applications after refusals and cancellations.
07

What are the main reasons for a guest visa refusal?

Weak proof of finances, lack of clear ties to the home country (job, family, property), unconvincing purpose of the visit, contradictions in interview answers.
08

Will my relatives staying illegally in the US affect my visa?

This is a serious risk. The consul may regard it as an intention to stay. It is important to properly build the application strategy — in this case, it is better to consult a visa specialist.
09

What questions are asked at a guest visa interview?

Who is inviting you and how do you know them, how long do you plan to stay, who is paying for the trip, do you have a job and family back home, have you been to the US before.
10

Can I pass the interview without knowing English?

Yes, the interview can be conducted in Russian or Ukrainian. An interpreter is not needed — consuls at the US Embassy in Warsaw work with Russian-speaking applicants. For an application in Krakow, an interpreter is needed, and we provide one.
11

How long does the interview last?

Usually 2–5 minutes. The consul asks a few specific questions and immediately announces the decision.
12

What if I was asked for additional documents at the interview?

This is called administrative processing (AP). You need to provide the requested documents by email within the specified timeframe. By itself, this is not a refusal.
13

How long do I wait for a US guest visa decision?

After the interview, the decision is announced immediately. If approved, the passport with the stamp arrives by courier within 3–5 working days.
14

For how long is a guest visa issued?

Usually for 1, 5, or 10 years depending on citizenship, with multiple entries. The period of stay for each visit — up to 6 months, is determined by the border officer.
15

How much is the consular fee for a guest visa?

$185 — this is a fixed embassy fee, non-refundable even in case of refusal. It is paid before scheduling the interview.
16

Is it possible to expedite the interview appointment?

Yes, there is an expedited appointment procedure if there are valid reasons. We help prepare the request for expedition.
17

Can I apply for a US guest visa while in Poland without a residence card (karta pobytu)?

Technically yes, but the chances are significantly lower. The embassy prefers applicants with legal status in Poland. Having a residence card, protection status (e.g., UKR Pesel), national visa, or Schengen visa is a strong plus.
18

Which embassy should I apply to if I live in Poland?

To the US Embassy in Warsaw or the Consulate in Krakow. There is no restriction based on your registered address — you can choose whichever is more convenient or has a shorter queue.
19

Do I need to visit the embassy in person, or can I apply remotely?

A personal interview is mandatory for most applicants.
20

Is having relatives in Europe considered when applying for a guest visa?

Yes, having family in Europe is confirmation of your ties and intention to return. Documents about your spouse, children, and property in Europe should be included in the package.
21

Can I change the purpose of my trip after getting the visa?

The B1/B2 visa allows you to combine business and tourist purposes, but they must align with the visa category.
22

Does a refusal in another country affect an application in Poland?

Yes, information about refusals is stored in a unified system. Therefore, it's important to build the strategy for re-application correctly.
