DEPENDING ON THE CASE

STEP 1

Consultation

We analyze the family situation: who the child is traveling with, whether there is consent from the second parent, and the family’s legal status in Poland. We choose the right strategy and honestly assess the chances.

STEP 2

Preparing consents

We help properly prepare notarized consent from the second parent if the child travels without them, using wording accepted by the embassy.

STEP 3

Application form

We complete the online application on the VFS Global website on behalf of the child. All data is entered accurately and without mistakes.

STEP 4

Visa fee payment

The fee is paid online and is non-refundable in case of refusal. If applying outside the country of citizenship, an additional €96 biometric fee applies.

STEP 5

VFS appointment

We book a convenient appointment in Warsaw or the capital of another country. Waiting times range from several days to several weeks.

STEP 6

Document preparation

We prepare the full package: application form, birth certificate, parental consents, motivation letter, and all other required documents.

STEP 7

Biometrics submission

The child personally visits VFS together with a parent to submit fingerprints and a photo. The procedure takes 15–20 minutes, and the passport is not retained.

STEP 8

Receiving the decision

Processing takes up to 3 weeks. The electronic visa is sent by email. The child can stay in the UK for up to 6 months per entry.

Visa fees:

6 months — £115 | 2 years — £432 | 5 years — £670 | 10 years — £963

RESULTS WE ARE PROUD OF

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

01

Does a child need a UK visa if they already have a Schengen visa?

Yes. After Brexit, the United Kingdom left the Schengen Agreement. A Schengen visa is not valid for the UK — every family member including children must have a separate British visa.
02

From what age does a child need a separate visa?

From birth. Every child regardless of age must have their own visa and their own international passport.
03

Can a child be included in a parent’s passport?

No. The UK does not accept children included in a parent’s passport — the child must have their own international passport and separate visa.
04

Is consent from the second parent required if the child travels only with the mother or only with the father?

Yes. Written consent from the second parent for the child’s travel is sufficient for the visa application.
05

What if the second parent is unavailable or deprived of parental rights?

A court decision granting sole custody or another document confirming the right of one parent to make decisions independently must be provided. We help properly prepare such a package.
06

Can a child travel to the UK without parents — for example with a grandmother?

Yes. Notarized consent from both parents and documents of the accompanying person are required. We help properly prepare the entire package.
07

Is the child’s personal presence required when submitting documents?

Yes. The child must personally attend the VFS visa center for biometrics submission.
08

Do we need to visit the embassy?

No. Documents are submitted through the VFS visa center. Personal attendance is required only for biometrics submission — it takes 15–20 minutes.
09

How much does a UK visa for a child cost?

The visa fee is the same for children and adults: 6 months — £115, 2 years — £432, 5 years — £670, 10 years — £963. If applying outside the country of citizenship, an additional €96 biometric fee applies. Our services for children under 14 are free of charge.
10

How long is a child visa issued for?

The embassy may issue a visa for 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years. The child’s visa validity usually does not exceed the parents’ visa validity.
11

How long does the process take?

Case preparation with us takes from 2 to 14 days. Embassy processing takes up to 3 weeks. Priority processing is available within 5 working days for an additional fee.
12

How is the child’s visa issued?

The electronic visa (eVisa) is sent to the parent’s email. The passport is not retained during the application. An electronic document is presented at the border.
13

Is a school certificate required?

It is recommended. The certificate confirms that the child studies and the family plans to return after the trip — this strengthens the case.
14

Can visas for the whole family be processed at the same time?

Yes. We process visas for the whole family simultaneously — parents and children submit documents together and attend biometrics at the same time.
15

What are the main reasons for refusal of a child visa?

Lack of consent from the second parent, weak family financial documents, an unconvincing travel purpose, incomplete documents, previous visa violations by the parents, or mistakes in the application form.
16

What if there has already been a refusal?

We identify the reason and build a new strategy. We specialize in repeat applications — free reapplication is included in the service fee.
17

Do we need to buy tickets before receiving the visa?

No. A reservation without payment is enough. We do not recommend paying for tickets or accommodation before the visa is approved.
18

Does the parents’ residence permit affect the child’s chances?

Yes, significantly. The parents’ legal status in Poland is one of the key factors considered for a child visa application.
19

Is the family’s travel history taken into account?

Yes. Trips by the parents to EU countries, the USA, or Canada are a strong positive signal for the embassy.
20

Can documents be submitted without knowing English?

Yes. We handle all technical stages including completing the application form in English — you only need to attend biometrics with your child.
