STEP 2

Itinerary and reservation preparation

For an Irish visa, you need to prepare a travel plan with hotels, routes, and dates. We help create the itinerary correctly and arrange free hotel and flight reservations.

STEP 3

Online application completion

We complete the online application on the official INIS website. Every field is checked twice — a mistake in the form may lead to delays or refusal.

STEP 4

Visa fee payment

The visa fee is paid online when submitting the application. It is non-refundable in case of refusal. We help complete the payment correctly.

STEP 5

Preparation of the full document package

We prepare the full package: application form, financial documents, itinerary, proof of travel purpose, motivation letter, hotel and flight reservations, and everything else required for your situation.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

01

Do I need a separate visa for Ireland if I have a Schengen visa?

Yes. Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area and does not recognize a Schengen visa. A separate Irish visa is required to enter Ireland regardless of whether you have a Schengen visa.
02

Do Ukrainian citizens need a visa for Ireland?

No. Citizens of Ukraine can enter Ireland visa-free for up to 90 days. This also applies to tourist trips.
03

Do Belarusian citizens need a visa for Ireland?

Yes. Citizens of Belarus must obtain a visa to enter Ireland. We help with the process at every stage.
04

Is a hotel reservation required for an Ireland tourist visa?

Yes. The Irish consulate requires proof of accommodation for the entire trip. We help arrange reservations without payment in the required format.
05

Is a detailed travel itinerary required?

Yes. The Irish consulate requires a travel plan with cities, hotels, and dates. We help prepare a proper itinerary.
06

How much does an Ireland tourist visa cost?

Visa fee: single-entry visa — €60, multiple-entry — €100. Our services start from 300 EUR per person. Government fees are non-refundable in case of refusal.
07

How long does it take to obtain an Ireland tourist visa?

Case preparation with us takes from 5 to 14 days. Consulate processing takes from 2 to 6 weeks. We recommend applying in advance.
08

How long is an Ireland tourist visa issued for?

A single-entry visa is valid for up to 3 months. A multiple-entry visa can be valid for up to 5 years with stays of up to 90 days per entry.
09

How long can I stay in Ireland with a tourist visa?

Up to 90 days per entry.
10

Can I work in Ireland with a tourist visa?

No. A tourist visa does not allow any paid work. Violations may lead to deportation and an entry ban.
11

How is the Irish tourist visa issued?

The visa is placed in the passport. The passport is sent by courier to your address or collected in person at the embassy.
12

Can I apply for an Ireland tourist visa while staying in Poland?

Yes. The application is submitted online through the INIS system. We handle all technical submission steps.
13

Do I need to buy flight tickets before receiving the visa?

No. A reservation without payment is enough. We do not recommend paying for tickets before receiving the visa.
14

How much money should I have in my bank account?

There is no fixed minimum. A general recommendation is enough to cover trip expenses plus a financial buffer. A stable bank history for the last 3–6 months is important.
15

Do I need a separate visa for Northern Ireland?

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom — to visit it, you need a UK visa, not an Irish visa. These are different countries with different visas.
16

Does having a UK visa help with an Irish visa?

Yes, positively. A valid UK visa is a strong advantage when applying for an Irish visa. It shows that you complied with visa rules in a similar jurisdiction.
17

What are the main reasons for refusal of an Ireland tourist visa?

Weak financial documents, no convincing travel purpose, incomplete itinerary or missing reservations, weak ties to the country of residence, or previous visa violations.
18

What should I do if I have already been refused an Irish visa?

We identify the reason and build a new strategy. We specialize in repeat applications — free reapplication is included in the service fee.
19

Is previous travel history considered?

Yes. Travel history to the United Kingdom, the USA, and Canada is a strong positive signal. It confirms that you complied with visa rules and returned home.
20

Can I apply for an Ireland tourist visa without knowing English?

Yes. The application form is completed in English, but we handle all technical steps. English knowledge is not a requirement for obtaining the visa.

By submitting this form, you agree to the processing of personal data.

You live in Germany, pay taxes there, and take weekend trips to neighboring countries. It seems like the same thing would happen in Dublin. But if you have, say, a Belarusian passport, you still need a tourist visa to Ireland: a German residence permit doesn't replace it. Ireland is not part of the Schengen area and verifies entry eligibility according to its own rules.

Documents are also a bit tricky. You'll need to prove your current status: where you work, how you're traveling, and why you'll be returning to Germany. The application process depends on your country of residence. Visa Agency helps you figure out where to apply, how to complete AVATS, and how to select confirmations for your specific trip.

How to fill out an application for a tourist visa to Ireland

In AVATS, citizenship and country of residence are listed separately. For example, if you have a Belarusian passport and a German residence permit, you must indicate Belarus as your nationality and Germany as your current place of residence on the application form. You will also be asked how long you have been there and whether you can return after your trip.

For a tourist visit, select Short Stay (C), purpose Visit Tourist, and entry type Single or Multiple. Then, fill in information about your trip, work, family, and visa history. It is recommended to prepare the following in advance:

  • Passport and previous passport details;
  • Residential address and work or study information;
  • Travel dates and address of hotel or other accommodation;
  • Information about previous visas and refusals, including in other countries.

The application form must be completed in English. After submission, AVATS will issue an application number and summary sheets. They must be printed, signed, and attached to your documents. Simply completing the online form is not enough.

Do I need an invitation for a tourist visa to Ireland?

If you're planning a trip to Dublin, Galway, and the coast with overnight stays in hotels, you don't need to look for an inviter in Ireland. For a Visit Tourist visa, prepare an itinerary, accommodation booking confirmations, and a personal letter explaining the purpose of your trip. This letter specifies the dates, places of stay, and source of funding for the vacation.

It's a different story if you're visiting a relative or friend and intend to stay with them. For such a trip, AVATS includes the ""Visit Family/Friend"" purpose. In this case, you'll need a signed invitation with the address, dates of your visit, and an explanation of your acquaintance or relationship. A copy of the inviter's passport, proof of address, and, if they are not an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen, proof of their right to reside in Ireland are included.

If the host is paying for your trip, you will also need proof of their financial means and details of the expenses they are covering.

How to apply for a tourist visa to Ireland

A completed AVATS is just the beginning of the application process. The final form will indicate where to submit the documents: the embassy, visa office, or visa application center. You must apply from your country of habitual residence. If you have moved from Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic, you do not need to go to Kazakhstan to submit your application.

The signed AVATS form usually includes the following:

  • Passport and photographs;
  • Application letter (written according to specific embassy requirements) with the applicant's signature;
  • Itinerary and proof of accommodation;
  • Confirmation of payment of the visa fee;
  • Bank statements for the last six months and income information;
  • Employment certificate indicating position, start date, dates of agreed-upon leave, and return date;
  • Documents on education, family, or other ties to the country of residence;
  • Copies of previous passports (if any);
  • Residence permit or other confirmation legal residence abroad.

Documents in other languages are usually accompanied by certified translations. The method of submitting the package, paying the fee, and the need for biometrics depend on the location of application. The standard fee is €60 for a single-entry visa and €100 for a multiple-entry visa, but there are exceptions.

Applications can be submitted up to three months before travel. It's best not to purchase tickets until a decision is made.

Can I visit the UK on an Irish tourist visa?

On the bus from Dublin to Belfast, the border is completely invisible. No booth, no usual queue for passports. But Belfast is already in the UK. If your citizenship requires a UK visa, an Irish Short Stay C visa won't replace it. The same applies to flights from Dublin to London.

So where do all the stories about ""one visa for two countries"" come from? Such a scheme exists: BIVS. But it can be used by citizens of India applying in India, and citizens of China applying in China. And the trip must begin in the country that issued the BIVS.

There's another program that can be confusing. For example, citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, under certain conditions, can come to Ireland on a short-term UK visa if they first entered the UK on one. This rule doesn't apply in the opposite direction. A regular Irish tourist visa doesn't open the door to the UK.

Why might an Irish tourist visa be refused?

A man has lived in the Czech Republic for several years, recently changed jobs, and is planning a week in Dublin. He has a bank statement and a hotel booked. However, it's unclear from the documents whether his right to reside in the Czech Republic after his vacation is valid or where he plans to return. This is a serious question for the visa officer.

Other circumstances may also influence the decision:

  • Travel expenses are inconsistent with his income, and large deposits into his account are unexplained;
  • There is no convincing evidence of work, study, or family ties to the country of residence;
  • The dates and purpose of the trip in the application form do not match the itinerary and documents;
  • The applicant has concealed previous visa refusals or immigration violations;
  • The itinerary includes the United Kingdom, but does not have the necessary entry permit.

In the event of a refusal, the applicant will be notified of the reasons in writing. Starting mid-2026, regular short-term visa refusals can no longer be appealed: for a new trip, you'll need to resubmit an AVATS application and correct the issues in the letter.

How Visa Agency Helps You Obtain a Tourist Visa to Ireland

Your itinerary is already planned: a few days in Dublin, then a trip to the ocean. But the documents are more complicated, especially if you hold a passport from one country, live in another, and have multiple sources of income. Visa Agency helps you understand what evidence is needed for your specific situation and how to coordinate it with the AVATS application.

First, specialists verify your citizenship, residence status, and purpose of travel. Further assistance:

  • Determine where to apply for a visa and how to submit documents in your country of residence;
  • Complete AVATS, verify information about employment, addresses, and previous visa decisions;
  • Prepare an itinerary, application letter, and proof of residence in Ireland;
  • Check bank statements, income statements, and sponsor documents if another person is covering expenses;
  • Prepare accommodation for submission;
  • Write motivation and sponsorship letters (if necessary);
  • Collect proof of legal residence abroad, work, or study, and arrange for the necessary translations;
  • Arrange for payment of the fee, signing the application form, and submitting the completed package;
  • In case of refusal, analyze the interview to better prepare for the future Resubmission.

If your application was previously refused, we review the visa officer's letter and verify any changes since the previous submission. The application is still being processed by Irish authorities, so promising a visa would be inappropriate.

Planning a vacation in Ireland? Tell Visa Agency where you currently live, your citizenship, and your planned travel dates. During the consultation, a specialist will help you determine the application process and prepare a list of documents.
