Citizens of Belarus — ESTA is unavailable, a full B1/B2 visa is required
Citizens of countries not participating in the VWP
Persons who visited certain countries after 2011: Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Libya, Yemen, Somalia

STEP 1

Consultation

STEP 2

Completing the ESTA application

We complete the application on the official website esta.cbp.dhs.gov. Every field is double-checked — mistakes may lead to refusal or border problems. Special attention is paid to questions about visited countries and criminal records.

STEP 3

Government fee payment

The government fee is $21 and is paid online when submitting the application. Of this amount, $4 is an administrative fee and $17 is a travel security fee.

STEP 4

Receiving approval

In most cases approval is received within 72 hours. In some situations processing may take up to 30 days. We recommend applying at least 72 hours before departure.

STEP 5

Entry to the USA

ESTA is electronically linked to your passport — there is no need to print a separate document. At the border you simply present the passport used for the ESTA application.
